New Delhi, Feb. 12 -- On Wednesday, the Indian cricket team led by Rohit Sharma wore green armbands as a part of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) initiative "Donate Organs and Save Lives" where the country's most loved icons will promote the noblest cause --gifting a life to someone.

The initiative by the BCCI is the brainchild of former secretary and current International Cricket Council (ICC) chairman Jay Shah. The cause is close to his heart and he is extremely grateful that BCCI has the Narendra Modi Stadium to promote a social cause.
