New Delhi, March 28 -- Noting that India's presence is becoming stronger in the global arena, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday said that the country earlier had a policy of "equi-distance" which has now changed to "equi-closeness".

Speaking at the TV9 Summit, PM Modi said that the world's eyes are on India and people there are filled with a new curiosity about the country.

He made a veiled reference to the foreign policy pursued earlier of seeking to keep distance from major power blocs.
