Uttara Kannada, April 5 -- Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Saturday said that India is committed to protecting the interests of all nations in the Indian Ocean while maintaining their sovereignty.

"India is committed to safeguarding the interests of all in the Indian Ocean while upholding the sovereignty of every nation," said Defence Minister Rajnath Singh in Karwar on Saturday.

Singh was in Karwar to attend the Naval Commanders' Conference and to inaugurate newly developed infrastructure at the naval base under Project Seabird.
