New Delhi, July 23 -- India could become a key player in the global electronics manufacturing sector with the help of active participation in the supply chains for manufactured exports, particularly by integrating "backwards" into the value chain, revealed a report from the Centre for Development Studies (CDS).
"India has the potential to establish itself as a critical node in the global electronics manufacturing landscape through backwards-linked GVC participation for manufactured exports, potentially challenging the dominance of China and Vietnam in this area," the report said.
