New Delhi, Nov. 20 -- Officials from India's National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) and Russia's Ministry of Civil Defence (EMERCOM) reached an agreement to cooperate in the field of protecting the population from emergencies.

The Russian Embassy in a post on social media platform X said that a meeting of representatives of NDMA and EMERCOM was held oon Wednesday.

It further mentioned that India expressed interest in sending specialists to Russia for advanced training and experience exchange.
