Washington DC, Dec. 25 -- The US House Select Committee on China has released an investigative report alleging that the Department of Defence (DOD) under the Biden administration allowed extensive US taxpayer-funded research collaboration with Chinese entities linked to the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and the People's Liberation Army (PLA), raising serious national security concerns.

According to the report, more than 1,400 research publications were produced through DOD-funded projects involving Chinese partners, representing over $2.5 billion in U.S. taxpayer funding. The committee stated that approximately 800 of these publications, more than half, featured direct collaboration with Chinese defence-linked institutions.
