Shimla, Aug. 29 -- Former Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister and Leader of Opposition Jai Ram Thakur hit out at Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav, demanding that they immediately apologise for what he described as "abusive and derogatory" language used against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his late mother during a public meeting in Darbhanga, Bihar, on Thursday.

Speaking to ANI in Shimla, Thakur condemned the incident in strong words. "The kind of low language used in Darbhanga to abuse the Prime Minister and his mother is unacceptable. I strongly condemn the slogans raised against the country's respected Prime Minister from the RJD platform yesterday," he said.
