Shimla, June 29 -- Himachal Pradesh Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla on Sunday flagged off the 12th Annual Half Marathon organised by the Himachal Pradesh Police under the theme "Nasha Ko Maat Denge Ek Saath" (Together, We Will Defeat Drugs).

Despite persistent rainfall and chilly weather, hundreds of enthusiastic participants from all age groups gathered at the historic ridge to take part in the event.

The event saw participation from children as young as nine years old to senior citizens over 80. Competitions were held in four categories: Half Marathon, Mini Marathon, Dream Run, and a Special Run for participants with disabilities.
