Gurugram, July 10 -- In a shocking incident, a 25-year-old tennis player was shot dead by her father allegedly over a disagreement regarding her tennis academy in Sector 57 in Gurugram.

According to Sandeep Kumar, PRO, Gurugram Police, the incident that occurred on Thursday involved three bullets fired from a licensed revolver, which belonged to the accused father.

"The deceased girl is named Radhika and is 25 years old, living in Sector 57. She was a tennis player and ran a tennis academy. She was shot dead by her father, Deepak (49), who has been arrested," Kumar said.

The police stated that Deepak confessed to the crime during questioning.
