Vadodara, Jan. 11 -- India's pace-bowling all-rounder Hardik Pandya, who is not a part of the ongoing New Zealand ODIs due to workload management ahead of T20 World Cup in February, missed an opportunity to start off his year with bang, with a chance join an elite club featuring icons like Sachin Tendulkar, Yuvraj Singh, Kapil Dev, Sanath Jayasuriya, Viv Richards, and Jacques Kallis, among others, as a rare breed of ODI players with 2,000 runs and 100 wickets.

India will resume its mission' '2027 World Cup' with these ODIs against the Kiwis, and the series is missing some trademark Hardik swagger, flamboyance and charisma. And the all-rounder will have to wait a little longer to rewrite the record books.
