Gandhinagar, Aug. 17 -- On the 79th Independence Day, Chief Minister S Bhupendra Patel hoisted the national flag and saluted the tricolour in a patriotic atmosphere at Porbandar, the birthplace of Mahatma Gandhi, an official statement from the Gujarat Chief Minister's Office (CMO) said.
The Chief Minister highlighted that since Gujarat's formation as a separate state in 1960, its development journey has gained new direction, energy, and momentum in the 21st century under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the statement said.
