Paschim Medinipur, Oct. 20 -- Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Dilip Ghosh on Monday criticised the Mamata Banerjee government over increasing loans while accusing the Trinamool Congress (TMC) people of "eating up" from the state government's revenue.

Speaking to reporters in Kharagpur, Ghosh said that there was no money left to carry out development works.

"The government of West Bengal runs on loans, and as long as this government remains in power, the loans will keep increasing because the government revenue that comes here is eaten up by the people of the party (TMC). Development works have come to a halt. The roads that were damaged due to rain have not been repaired since the government has no money," Ghosh said.
