Chandigarh, July 15 -- In a significant development in the assault case of Colonel Pushpinder Singh Bath, a fresh petition has been filed in the Punjab and Haryana High Court over the alleged inaction of Chandigarh Police in arresting the accused Punjab Police officers, despite the dismissal of their anticipatory bail pleas.
After listening to the matter on Monday, Justice Rajesh Bhardwaj questioned the Chandigarh Police for the delay in making the arrests. Questioning the intent behind the inaction, Justice Bhardwaj said that such conduct was setting a wrong example and appeared to be aimed at shielding the accused.
