New Delhi, April 30 -- Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Wednesday morning flagged off the 'One Nation, One Election' run organised under the Delhi University mega run and said that frequent elections, which take a toll on revenue, were "not good" for the country's development.

He also stated that the country understands the 'One Nation, One Election' as a people's movement.

Advocating for political stability to achieve superpower status, the Union Minister stated that elections were held together until the 1960s, but the schedule has been disrupted in the last 40 years.
