Geneva, March 27 -- At a side event during the 58th session of the UN Human Rights Council (UNHRC) in Geneva on Wednesday, former UK Member of Parliament Paul Burstow delivered a keynote speech addressing human rights violations and the rise of Islamic extremism in Bangladesh.

While acknowledging the country's economic progress, he raised serious concerns about corruption, political repression, and security challenges that could threaten its stability.
