New Delhi, Aug. 7 -- India's export industry faces an unprecedented crisis as the 50% US tariff threatens to heavily impact nearly half of India's exports to America, worth approximately USD 47-48 billion, according to the Federation of Indian Exporters Organisations (FIEO).

Ajay Sahai, Director General and CEO of FIEO, described the tariff proposal as "absolutely a shocker for Indian exporters" and warned it could sound "the death knell for India's export to the US."
