Chennai, Sept. 15 -- The Election Commission of India, held a general council meeting of the Pattali Makkal Katchi (PMK), allowing Anbumani Ramadoss to continue as the president of PMK until August 1, 2026, on Monday.

Reacting to this decision, Paatali Makkal Katchi (PMK) leader K Balu expressed happiness over the decision of the Election Commission of India.

"The Election Commission of India has approved to extend the tenure of the party President, Secretary, General Secretary till 1st August 2026. We received the communication from the Election Commission of India, and all our party members are extremely happy, and we are celebrating." Balu told ANI.
