Tarapur, Nov. 6 -- As polling began on Thursday for phase 1 of the Bihar elections, extreme enthusiasm was evident among voters, as an elderly woman arrived at the Lakhanpur polling station in the Tarapur constituency to cast her vote.

The security personnel assisted the elderly woman in reaching the polling booth so that she could cast her vote.

Meanwhile, an elderly couple also posed to showcase their inked fingers after casting their votes in the first phase of the Bihar elections.

Earlier today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi urged the people of Bihar to participate in the festival of democracy with full enthusiasm to exercise their voting rights.
