Beijing, June 4 -- An earthquake of magnitude 4.2 struck China early Wednesday morning, the National Centre for Seismology (NCS) said in a statement.
According to the NCS, the quake occurred at a shallow depth of 10 km, which makes it more likely to be followed by aftershocks.
In a post on X, the NCS said, "EQ of M: 4.2, On: 04/06/2025 04:43:08 IST, Lat: 33.73 N, Long: 81.99 E, Depth: 10 Km, Location: China."
