Paris, June 12 -- External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar met French President Emmanuel Macron and conveyed Prime Minister Narendra Modi's greetings during his visit to France.

In a post on X, Jaishankar said, "Honoured to call on President @EmmanuelMacron of France. Conveyed greetings of PM @narendramodi."

He also expressed gratitude for France's support in counter-terrorism efforts. "Thanked him for France's strong message of support in the fight against terrorism," he wrote.

Jaishankar said the conversation underscored the strong bilateral relationship. "Our discussions reflected the trust, comfort and ambition of our Strategic Partnership."
