New Delhi, Aug. 25 -- The Delhi High Court on Monday directed Delhi Police to file a counter affidavit on a plea filed by Devangana Kalita seeking permission to inspect unrelied documents stored in mal khana (a secured area in a police station where case property and records are kept).
Justice Neena Bansal Krishna directed Delhi Police to submit its reply on affidavit and listed the matter for further hearing on September 16.
Special Public Prosecutor (SPP) Amit Prasad, appearing for Delhi Police, submitted that arguments on the non-maintainability of the petition had already been advanced.
