New Delhi, Aug. 21 -- Delhi Minister Kapil Mishra on Thursday strongly condemned the attack on Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, describing it as a "professional assault" and revealing that the accused has a long criminal history.
After meeting the Chief Minister, who was "injured" in the August 20 incident, Mishra said she continued to work despite her condition but requires rest as she has "serious injuries" on her body.
The Delhi CM on Tuesday was attacked by a man identified as Rajesh Khimji during 'Jan Sunvai'. The accused was subsequently arrested and has been sent to a five-day police remand.
