New Delhi, Dec. 23 -- The Delhi High Court has issued a notice on a plea seeking a ban on the upcoming web series titled 'UP 77', which is reportedly based on the life of gangster Vikas Dubey.
The petition was filed ahead of the series' scheduled release on December 25, 2025. The plea alleges that the series deals with sensitive events that are still under legal and public scrutiny.
The matter was taken up by Justice Sachin Datta, who issued a notice to the Union government and the producers of the web series. The matter will be heard on Wednesday.
