Mumbai (Maharashtra), June 19 -- : ICC on Wednesday approved wicket-keeper batsman Rishabh Pant as a replacement for injured batsman Shikhar Dhawan in India's squad for the remainder of the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup.

BCCI in a statement said that the Event Technical Committee of the World Cup approved the replacement.

The replacement of a player requires the approval of the Event Technical Committee before the replacement player can be officially added to the squad.
