Dharamshala, July 26 -- Himachal Pradesh Health Minister Colonel Dhani Ram Shandil (Retd) on Saturday participated in the Kargil Vijay Diwas celebrations in Dharamshala.

While speaking to the reporters, Shandil said that it is a matter of great fortune for him to visit the Shaheed Smarak and remember the Kargil war heroes.

"The contribution of Kargil warriors can never be forgotten. He said that it is a matter of good fortune for Kangra that two great, brave sons of this place, Major Somnath Sharma and Captain Vikram Batra, have been Param Vir Chakra winners; the country is indebted to their families", the minister said.
