New Delhi, June 19 -- Senior Congress leader and MP KC Venugopal criticised the central government for its handling of unemployment in the country.

Addressing the media in Delhi, Venugopal highlighted the growing unemployment in the country, claiming that the joblessness rate has climbed to 5.6% and is increasing every month.

He accused the BJP-led NDA government of failing to fulfil its ambitious promise of creating two crore jobs annually.
