New Delhi, Feb. 4 -- Congress whip in Lok Sabha, Manickam Tagore said that while party leader Rahul Gandhi's speech was a "visionary statement," the Prime Minister's address in Parliament on Tuesday mainly focused on the problems in the past.

"We thought that after LoP Rahul Gandhi's visionary statement about India's future growth and making India a production centre...PM was speaking about the past...his problem is he lives in past and doesn't speak about the future. LoP spoke about the future and PM spoke about the past," Manickam Tagore said.

The Congress MP also said that they will look to authenticate the claims of saving money and benefiting the people with various schemes.
