New Delhi, Oct. 2 -- Chief Justice of India (CJI) Bhushan Ramakrishna Gavai and his family on Thursday participated in the Gandhi Jayanti celebration at Mahatma Gandhi Institute in Mauritius. They paid a floral tribute to the Father of the Nation on his birth anniversary.

Mahatma Gandhi Institute is a joint institute between India and Mauritius to promote Indian culture.

CJI Gavai is on a three-day official visit to Mauritius.

Kaviraj Sharma Sukon, Minister of Tertiary Education, Science and Research; Mahend Gungapersad, Minister of Education and Human Resources; and others, including junior ministers, MPs and senior officials, also participated in the ceremony.
