Raipur, April 23 -- Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai on Wednesday condemned the terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir.

The CM also revealed that at least one businessman from the state was also killed in the attack, and the state government is in contact with relatives.

"Yesterday, some terrorists in Pahalgam carried out this act, I strongly condemn it and whoever is affected, I express my sympathies to them," the CM said during a press conference in Raipur.

He expressed confidence in Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who has shown urgency to deal with the attack as he cut short his visit from Saudi Arabia to take a meeting at the airport itself about the attack.
