Bijapur, Jan. 29 -- Two Naxals were killed in an ongoing encounter with security forces in Bijapur district, police said on Thursday.

According to Inspector General of Police, Bastar range, P Sundarraj, the bodies of the two Naxals have been recovered. Security forces also seized an AK-47 rifle, a 9mm pistol, and other materials from the site.

Search operations are underway.

Earlier, at least 11 security personnel were injured in multiple IED blasts at Karregutta Hills in Bijapur on Sunday. As per Bilapur Police, all injured personnel were evacuated and airlifted to Raipur for treatment. Their condition is reported to be stable.
