Chennai, Dec. 24 -- Ahead of Christmas celebrations, former AIADMK leader VK Sasikala on Tuesday visited the 'Shrine of Our Lady of Good Health' church located on Halls Road, Kilpauk in Chennai to offer prayers.

During the visit, she also joined the destitute elderly at the Karunai Illam (Home of Compassion) situated within the church and celebrated the joyous festival of Christmas by cutting a cake and distributing food and welfare assistance to the elderly.

With just a day left for Christmas, the nation has been immersed in the festive spirit.
