Ahmedabad, Aug. 24 -- Union Sports Minister Mansukh Mandaviya revealed that India is aiming to feature among the top five sporting nations by 2047, the year in which the country will celebrate its 100th year of independence.

Mandaviya invoked various reforms, including the Target Podium Olympic Scheme (TOPS), Khelo India and initiatives like the Fit India movement, to cite the progress the nation has made under Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
