Amritsar, April 22 -- Continuing its crackdown against the cross-border smuggling attempts, vigilant BSF troops on Tuesday recovered a Pakistani drone and two heroin consignments in two separate operations from the border areas of Amritsar and Gurdaspur districts.
According to a BSF release, a search operation conducted on the information provided by an aware local villager resulted in the recovery of 1 packet of suspected heroin (Gross weight- 500 Grams) from a cauliflower field adjacent to Village Gola Dola in Gurdaspur district.
Another packet of suspected heroin (Gross weight- 558 Grams) was recovered jointly by BSF and Punjab Police today, from a harvested field adjacent to the village of Modhe in Amritsar district.
