Chennai, Aug. 4 -- BJP leader Tamilisai Soundararajan on Monday condemned Rajya Sabha MP Kamal Haasan's statement, accusing him of "dividing people" on religious sentiments.

Speaking with ANI, Tamilisai Soundararajan questioned Kamal Haasan over targeting Sanatan Dharma, adding that the sentiments of people will be hurt by his statement.

"Kamal Haasan is more thankful to DMK than its own cadres. First, he raised the language issue, dividing people of different states. Now, he is raising the religious issue to divide people on religious sentiments," the BJP leader said.
