Darbhanga, Nov. 14 -- Singer and BJP candidate Maithili Thakur, who is leading from Alinagar in the Bihar election on Friday, said that it feels "like a dream," adding that she hopes to meet the expectations of the people.
Thakur is ahead by 4,638 votes, securing 30,653 votes after nine rounds of counting, while Binod Mishra from Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) trails with 26,015 votes.
Speaking to ANI, Maithili Thakur said, "This is like a dream. People have a lot of expectations of me... This will be my first term as an MLA, and I will do my best for my constituency... I will serve my people as their daughter... I can only see Alinagar right now and how I can work them..."
