Moradabad, March 24 -- Uttar Pradesh Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) President Bhupendra Singh Chaudhary expressed support for simultaneous elections to the Lok Sabha and state assemblies on Monday, highlighting that frequent elections result in "economic" losses.

Speaking to ANI, Chaudhary said the lengthy election process hampers government work and development activities.

"... We have a long election process, during which many development works are affected, and government work takes a long time. This causes economic losses and impacts development activities. We are trying to raise awareness about this issue so that society discusses it, and we move forward with whatever is in the best interest of the country," the BJP leader said.
