Patna, April 15 -- Ahead of the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's son, Nishant Kumar, expressed confidence that his father would retain his position after the next state elections.

Speaking to the media, Nishant Kumar said, "It is an appeal to Bihar's public to give a majority (to JDU) more than what they gave in 2010. Nitish Kumar will undoubtedly become the CM."

Earlier in the day, Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary also expressed similar sentiments and said that Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar is going to retain his post after the Bihar Assembly elections even if the "entire UPA, INDI alliance" fights the polls.
