Kolkata, Jan. 8 -- West Bengal Governor CV Ananda Bose has asserted that the state has two cancerous growths on its body politic - one being violence, and the other is corruption.
Speaking to ANI on Thursday, CV Ananda Bose said, "I am of the firm conviction, which I have been expressing repeatedly. Bengal has two cancerous growths on its body politic - one is violence and the other is corruption. These are two issues which are to be tackled very effectively, in a very pro-active manner if the state is to come back to its pristine glory."
The Governor's comments come after the Enforcement Directorate (ED) carried out raids at the office of the political consultancy firm I-PAC.
