Senapati, May 21 -- Assam Rifles, along with local Police, conducted a successful search operation in Mao Gate in Senapati District as part of ongoing efforts to curb drug trafficking.

According to a release, the operation led to the apprehension of two individuals suspected to be involved in illegal narcotics activities. During the operation, 38 soap cases containing brown sugar were recovered.

As per the release, the total weight of the seized narcotics is approximately 442 grams with an estimated value of Rs 89.40 lakhs. This successful joint operation reflects the steadfast commitment of Assam Rifles and the Manipur Police in combating the drug menace and maintaining peace and security in the region.
