Guwahati, April 30 -- Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Wednesday lauded the Union Cabinet for approving the proposal for the development, maintenance and management of a four-lane greenfield access controlled high-speed corridor from Shillong to Silchar.

Taking to X, Himanta Biswa Sarma expressed gratitude for approving the Rs 22,864 crore project, noting that the expressway will cut travel time and "revolutinise connectivity" to Barak Valley.
