New Delhi, Jan. 27 -- The Supreme Court on Monday stayed parts of the Madras High Court's December 28 order, including adverse remarks against the Chennai Police Commissioner and other officials, regarding the leak of the FIR and the identity of the survivor in the alleged sexual assault of an Anna University student.

A bench of Justices BV Nagarathna and Satish Chandra Sharma also stayed, until further orders, the High Court's directive to conduct a departmental inquiry into the FIR leak.
