Ammu, April 6 -- Union Home Minister Amit Shah arrived in Jammu on Sunday evening for a two-day visit to the Union Territory to review the security situation and assess progress on developmental projects.

BJP MLA and Leader of Opposition in the Jammu and Kashmir (J-K) Assembly, Sunil Sharma, said that Shah's visit is a routine part of his responsibilities as Home Minister.

"He visits each year as the Home Ministry is responsible for the security of the Union Territory," Sharma said while speaking to ANI.
