New Delhi, April 18 -- Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Friday congratulated the security force personnel and the Chhattisgarh Police after the 22 Naxals surrendered in Chhattisgarh's Sukma.

"22 other naxalites surrendered in Sukma (Chhattisgarh), taking the total number to 33. I congratulate the security force personnel and the Chhattisgarh Police for this success towards the Naxal-free India campaign," Amit Shah posted on X.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah appealed to the Naxalites to lay down their arms and said that the Modi government is determined to end Naxalism by March 2026.
