Etawah, April 12 -- Coming out in the defence of Rajya Sabha MP and Samajwadi Party leader Ramji Lal Suman, SP president Akhilesh Yadav on Saturday expressed hope that the administration in Uttar Pradesh will not treat senior party leaders in any disrespectful manner.
"I have full faith that the administration will not be able to treat Ramji Lal Suman in a disrespectful manner," he said.
"If the government has still given a free hand, then the government is responsible for this," he added.
Ramji Lal Suman has sparked controversy with his statement on Rana Sanga, a 16th-century Rajput king. He called him a "traitor" for allegedly bringing Babur, the founder of the Mughal dynasty, to defeat Ibrahim Lodi.
