Kabul, Feb. 12 -- Trade between Afghanistan and neighboring Iran has surged, with officials reporting that the total volume of commercial exchanges between the two countries has reached approximately $5 billion in the current solar year, according to a report by Tolo News.

The announcement highlights the growing economic ties and the expanding role of cross-border commerce in Afghanistan's provincial markets.
