Bhopal, Dec. 23 -- A total of 42,74,160 electors have been removed from the electoral roll after the first phase of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process in Madhya Pradesh, election officials said on Tuesday.

The first phase of the SIR concluded in the state on December 18 and the first draft roll of voters was released on Tuesday in which the said number of voters have been removed. These voters have been deleted from the rolls on the basis of being found dead, duplicated, absent and shifted elsewhere, he added.

"As of October 27, 2025, the total number of voters in Madhya Pradesh stood at 5,74,06,143. The process of filling enumeration forms was completed by December 18, following which the draft electoral roll was published to...
