Kathmandu, Sept. 8 -- At least 14 people were killed and several others injured on Monday after Nepal police opened fire on protesters in Kathmandu. The demonstrators were protesting against the government's ban on social media sites, authorities said.

According to The Himalayan Times, the deceased include six at Trauma Center, three at Civil Hospital, three at Everest Hospital, one at Kathmandu Medical College (KMC), and one at Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital.
