New Delhi, Dec. 4 -- Congress Parliamentary Party chairperson Sonia Gandhi on Thursday asked the Centre to take action to curb air pollution in Delhi-NCR, saying the children and elderly are suffering.

Speaking to reporters outside the Parliament, Sonia Gandhi said, "It is the responsibility of the Government to do something. Young children are suffering, and it is also difficult for elderly people like me."

Congress MP Priyanka Gandhi Vadra also flagged the issue, alleging that no concrete action has been taken. She added that the Opposition does not want to politicise the issue and will stand with the Centre when steps are taken to curb pollution.
