Mumbai, Aug. 29 -- Ahead of the Vice Presidential elections on September 9, Shiv Sena (UBT) Chief Uddhav Thackeray on Friday stated that the party would vote unanimously in favour of the INDIA bloc candidate.

Addressing a press conference, Thackeray further stated that his party was still unaware as to why the former Vice President Jagdeep Dhankar had resigned all of a sudden.

"We will vote unanimously in favour of the INDIA bloc candidate... The upcoming elections are important for the country because we have to vote to maintain the dignity of the post of Vice President.
