New Delhi, March 29 -- Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on Saturday said that he supported the farmers' movement and that he would personally take the farmers for the talks with the Center, which are supposed to be held on May 4.

Speaking at the TV 9 summit, the Punjab CM also said that it was the democratic right of the farmers to protest.

"I totally support the farmer's protest at the Shambu and Khannauri border. Fighting for their rights is everyone's democratic right. I will personally take the farmers to the meeting on May 4 with the Centre...We have dealt with them with love... No lathis or water cannons have been used on them so far," the CM said.
